The SUAD YOUTH COP is an entirely virtual mock negotiation of the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP) organized by the Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (SUAD).
The event will take place on October 2023 (dates to be confirmed) and during three days of active negotiations, 25 chosen teams (75 students in total) will discuss and produce documents that will be presented at COP28 in Dubai.
By the end of the negotiation, the two best teams (6 students in total) will be awarded with the participation at COP28 in Dubai (coverage of tickets and travel costs from their home country to Dubai).
Honorable mentions (digital certificates) will also be granted to honor specific types of performances during the event.
